Miller, a 6-foot-2-inch guard from Houston, Texas, transferred to Incarnate Word, with three years remaining of eligibility.

Mullins stated, “We are delighted to have Trey’s family join our program.” “Trey’s a talented, physically strong guard who can score on all three levels. He has a huge impact on winning. Separators for Trey are his work ethic and competitiveness. Trey is a bright future for the program and will be an excellent representative.

Miller played 28 games as a freshman for the Cardinals in last year’s season. Miller averaged 10.4 points per game and 2.7 assists. In 16 games, he scored double figures and shot 46.5% from the field. The first-year player finished with 45 steals. He had at least two steals in each of 13 games, with his season-high six steals coming against New Orleans.

Miller had impressive stats at Concordia Lutheran High School, Houston. Miller scored 1,380 points in his career and was a 4-time district champion. As a senior in 2021-2022, he averaged 19,8 points, 4,8 rebounds, 5,1 assists, and 4 steals per match, leading the Crusaders team to a district title.

Miller’s outstanding senior year earned him the title of Texas Private School Player of the Years and National Christian School Athletic Association 2022 National Football Player of Year. Trey Miller and the Crusaders won the district championship as a junior. They went 21-5. He was also a part of Concordia Lutheran’s concert choir, which won the TAPPS 6A Vocal music state championship 21-22.
