Sen. Josh Hawley is convinced that today, more than ever, we need strong, masculine men. In an interview with The Daily Signal, the Missouri Republican said that this is one of the reasons he wrote his book “Manhood: The Masculine virtues America Needs”.

Hawley explained that the masculine virtues were those of a husband, father, warrior, builder, priest, and king. He cited the chapters in his . “I wrote this book for my sons. I have two boys aged 10 and 8 at home. They’re older, but still 10 and 8 years old. “I’ve got an eight-month-old baby girl.”

The senator’s premise was simple: “America is in need of strong men.” It needs good, strong men. We should encourage men to be these things.

Hawley stated that the corporate media, entertainment industry and leftist ideologies all send the same message to men: they are “toxic.”

He said, “To be man is, in itself, to contribute to systemic injustices of America.” “I think that this message is being relentlessly pushed at men today.”

The Missouri legislator pointed out that research shows that the play of schoolboys is disrupted many times more often than that for girls. He also noted that boys are “way too medicated” by doctors.

He said, “You can see the drive to eradicate boys’ boyishness.”

Hawley said, “It is part of the overarching philosophy, that there is something wrong about being a male.”

This is something I am concerned about for my children. I want to send a message to all young men in this country and to men everywhere: It’s good to have a strong man. We need a man who is strong. You must take responsibility. We need you as a protector and provider. We need you live with sacrifice.

You can change your destiny, the destiny your family and the destiny this nation by doing these things. That’s exactly what we need.

Hawley stated that the Left’s ideology includes a focus on masculinity.

He explained, “It is really their Marxism.” It’s cultural Marxism which gained the most ground in the 1960s on the Left and has now come to control the Democrat Party.

Hawley continued, “This Marxism does not like biblical influences in our culture or in our history.” “And it doesn’t like the categories of men and women. It wants to change everything that is permanent or has a connection with eternity.

Hawley said that the “war on woman” is a good example of this.

“These are the people who said that biological men shouldn’t be in girls’ locker room, or in women’s sport…. The same people who tell men “You are toxic” also tell women “You don’t even exist.”

Hawley, when asked about the role that video games and sexual content play in the state of American men today, joked that “sitting in front of screens” is one of the only things the modern Left allows for men.

Hawley tells you to “turn off the screen”.

He noted that the porn epidemic has caused men to delay marriage, family formation and commitment.

All of these things are bad for the country. This is not good. Let’s be honest. We need men to make commitments, work harder, get married and have children. We shouldn’t be afraid to say that.

Hawley is in favor of a national age verification requirement for all social media. The Senator suggested that a minimum age of 16 was required, in light of the negative effects social media has on youth.

I think that if you did this, it would be of great help. “I say this as a mother.”

He said, “Let’s make it a priority across the board.” Let’s begin there.

Hawley wants victims of the porn business to have the right to sue for their images being used in pornography. “Either through deep-fakes, or if their consent was not obtained, or they had been lied to as to what type of film the film would be, or whatever, fill in blank. Let these people sue in order to hold the companies accountable.”

“I know what these companies are afraid of, and it’s not just the porn companies. I mean all these social media companies and all these media firms. “What they fear most is that they will be held accountable before a court,” he said. “They don’t want that. Let’s make it more open, I say. Let people sue in court for the damages they suffer because of these platforms. “I think you would see many changes in behaviour.”
